Any suggestions?

Like You I’m slowly getting use to the Van! The best suggestion from me is to be yourself. Try to post in popular topics to help people to get to know you. To me the best thing to do Is enjoy the contact that you have already, for they know the real you!

Don’t worry, just keep posting and tagging and you’ll eventually find your feet and figure out how to use the place.

Vela_Nanashi Agreed. I’m still trying to figure out things. The main feed when I log in is the first 20 or so posts in order of when they were last updated, but that ends up pushing stories down. And I’m still trying to figure out how to navigate to the Author’s Pages without getting lost.

you can search by author and even change your setting on how stuff is getting displayed.

DawnAmber I just wanted to reinforce what Fear said, this page is still growing, the membership is comprised of two groups still mourning essentially the loss of RC and in part RU. We were all very much set in our way in how we operated on the respective sites.

The new forum took me quite some time to get used too, there are aspects i now like a lot, but there are aspects, that still don’t really do what i want them to do. On any site I lived in the story section moving into the games occasionally. I appreciated the orderly structure, but then again if I just want to see stories today, all i have to do is hit the fictional tag, and get them all.

I asked before, is there something specific where you feel problems? Else just keep on posting and people will read your stuff, your stories are still as exciting as ever, people are here just incredibly lazy on commenting, and to be honest that was the same at RC and RU there were only more users, giving you more people wo do comment.

Shocker.. "no? Nothing really. But I love teasing. Bantering. Being playful. These are things I find invaluable in deciding if people are being real. And, if they are people I might consider meeting. I think one thing that threw me off, is the use of titles in chat “yes Master” specifically . I really am not interested in the power exchange anymore. BDSM? Yes, because I’m a masochist . But honestly, am more aiming at finding people for consensual non-consent.

And direct me to a good old fashioned gang rape story and I’ll be indebted.

Hi DawnAmber! You bring up some very good discussion points here. I suspect some of it comes from our board being geared and designed more for fantasy role play than finding play partners (re- the comment about the use of “Master” in chat). We try to keep fantasy from overlapping with reality as much as possible, hence the no IRL trauma discussion rule (of course, feel free to discuss whatever you want in private conversations) - but, as several others have pointed out - just post things, play the games, comment on and post stories, and you’ll meet some people that may intrigue you.

While we don’t cater to facilitating IRL meet-ups, we know they happen, and we know of several relationships and marriages that have occurred via sites like this 😊

As for the navigation of the site, it IS very different from a traditional forum set up. It takes some getting used to but everyone eventually gets the hang of it, with a little poking around and mashing buttons. One thing that may help is this - Helpful Links

And as @Vela_Nanashi pointed out, just mouse clicking on a tag will take you to posts containing material related to that tag. If you’re looking for gang-bang stories, click on the gang-bang tag from anywhere and it will bring up a whole list 😄

One thing I sorely miss from early RC RU days is being able to see recent visitors to your profile. It was a justifiable icebreaker, where I met most people via DM, especially with those that were too shy to publicly post or DM you first.

I like how there are creative possibilities with the profile page here at BV. If there was a way to see visitors, that would be awesome.
