giffs not being accepted

Can’t seem to upload giffs at the moment.. Get a red message in bottom corner: “something went wrong reload page and try again” tried many times with different giffs and same result persists…… Any ideas as to why?

Yea, that has happened to me a few times too.

can’t seem to upload any gifs now, was accepting some but the last 5 or 6 that I’ve tried have all been:

“something went wrong please reload page and try again”

I had to save one to my pc then upload it to get it to go on. In addition, if its over a certain size it will not accept them either

The Flarum image upload function can be a bit temperamental. Are the GIFs all under 5MB? Have you tried refreshing the page when you get that error before trying again?

I always make sure they are under 5MB, and yes I’ve tried to refresh many times, and even tried again on different days. And I only ever try from my PC. .. I have never had any problems until lately. it’s a shame because I have had to bin some nice ones, can’t keep them… I give up now.

Well since you say you give up, and you’ve deleted the files that you couldn’t upload, I can’t really help troubleshoot this. There have not been any changes to the site between the last time you posted a GIF and the time you started this thread, and I do not get an error when I try to upload a GIF (see below), so I will need more information from your end.

I just tried again with 3 different files, and the problem continues for me. Maybe as you state the problem is from my end, but nothing has changed here either. 😢
