Erica and I returned to my house and began straightening up the house and preparing dinner.
“What did they say their names were?” I asked.
“He was Aaron.” Erica thought for a moment, “She was…Kellie, no, Kali.” I made the lasagna and stuck it in the oven before showering and changing. When I came down, Erica had set the table.
“You’re not eating?”
“No, it’s Melissa’s birthday so we’re going out for dinner.” I looked up and my mouth popped open, “Don’t worry little brother, she knows I’ve gotta be here tonight.” She picked up her purse and gave me a big hug. As she opened the door, Aaron and Kali were just coming up the walkway.
“Sorry, we’re late,” Aaron said.
“You’re right on time.”
