Penelope had no clue there were guys interested in her, her parents always made it out to her that boys were of no importance to a girl like her because she was average. She couldn’t imagine someone thinking she was anything beyond that. Although she wishes Jared thought so.
She knew a girl like her didn’t exist in the world of a Jared. She would have to change something drastically to get his attention and then would it even be worth it? Of course, it would, she thought to herself. It’s him, almost every guy up to his class wanted to be him and all the girls love him. That would surely leave some competition.
Some times she wondered if she would be better off holding on and meeting someone who did a reputable job, and had a good head on their shoulders. Some one middle aged… She did have a thing for older men, she just never mentioned it to anybody and wasn’t like she had a lot of friends to talk to.
Penny had one friend named Blair and they were tight but in a sense that Penelope kept all of the secrets and was too shy to tell many of her own.
Laying in bed that night she kept seeing the shadows of people walking by her dorm room that night. Part of her wanted Prince charming to boom through the door and sweep her off her feet as she jumped to them in fright. Telling her everything would be okay and giving her all the affection that she could ever ask for… but that was all a dream.
Penelope then thought back to the one security guard she smiled to today. She kinda met her type in a while , he was an older gent with a good job. But he would probably think her half crazy for even having thought about him that way.
