So, I’ve chatted with a couple people about this, interested in getting a wider read. Assuming it’s doable and not an unreasonable ask, I’d like it if filling out the KinkList sheet was offered as part of building your profile, like assigning an avatar, thereafter attached to your profile, organically, and as easy to check as clicking on someone, it’s right there. Obviously anyone who wanted could just leave it blank. I don’t know the mechanics of that, but I know that if someone posts theirs as a topic, and I want to see it six months later, because we’re in the middle of an RP and I don’t want to break character to ask how they are about blackmail, or whatever, I’m never finding that thread.

Interested to hear what others think, and whether it’s doable.

That's a very good suggestion Tinman, I can see your point in making it a bit easier to find if/when we have hundreds of members.

We have a profile builder extension installed that allowed us to create an optional simple textbox questionnaire attached to each member profile. I also agree with @Shocker 's points and that's why the profile information isn't mandatory. Just an extra space to be used if you wish. We DID find something that allows us to build forms, but it is horribly clunky, and I would have only been able to put the briefest and simplest of kink list forms on a profile. It wasn't anywhere near adequate.

Until the form builder is better, or until I commission someone to create a kink-list checklist (which, to be honest here, I'm very reluctant to do for what should be obvious reasons), what we have done is made a new field in the member profile in which to put a link to your list.

To find it, click on your user name in the top right and hit "profile". Then find "member profile" in the list to the right. Clicking on that will take you to the optional profile form. We've added the space down at the bottom.

I'll be interested to see how the poll goes - if enough people really want this feature I will try to figure something out.

To me it doesn’t really matter one way or another.

I mean there is a tag for it.

So, if someone REALLY wanted to see it they know how to go about doing so. At least they would after getting used to, or cruising the site.

I feel like if the time is wasted to make it plastered somewhere for all to see easily on profiles and stuff, you’re still going to have the lump sum that goes. “So what are you in to, what brings you to this corner of the web” regardless.

I don’t know… It doesn’t really harm me either way… but I’m ready for this cheesecake already !!!!!!!!

I was going to say it doesn’t matter to me either way. And as I already have a profile that is almost true, but I’m trying to think how i would feel if I set up a new account to read stories here and suddenly this questionnaire pops up, I would likely turn around and run from this place as quick as I can, that is to much information to be asked when setting up a profile.

With the tag system in place, the kink lists can be found rather easily, without making them part of the profile.

So I don’t think this would make the site better, it would on the contrary possibly drive away people that already feel very conscious and possibly uncomfortable about what kind of community they are joining here.

Shocker I’m not talking about it being something you had to do to get up, like the profile pic it would be off to the side, something you could easily skip if you were just doing the minimum. A lot of stuff is easy to find with the site in its infancy, when there’s more users and more history, I can see it getting harder.

Enchantress Okay, I know I’m Capt. Luddite, so that makes me a good test case for ease of tech shit. Here’s what I’m tripping over. I followed your directions and answered the questions, so far so good, but what I can’t find is, when I click on you, where to see your answers. So I’m bravely looking stupid in public asking. At least that’s the spin imma put on it.
