Female Pov: Halloween season jumpstart

I was walking home from work one night when I was grabbed from behind. I was gagged and thrown into the back of a van. I had no idea what was happening. When the van stopped, I was dragged out and thrown into a cage with other women. We were all naked and there were leering men all around us. I quickly realized that we had been kidnapped and sold into slavery. The men would come in and take us out one by one, doing who knows what to us in private. I tried to fight back, but it was pointless. There was nothing we could do but wait for our turn and hope for the best. One day, a group of older men came in and selected me along with three other women. We were taken to a secluded room where they proceeded to have their way with us. It was degrading and horrifying, but we were helpless to stop them. Eventually, we were able to escape and get help. But the damage was done. I will never be able to forget what happened to me, or the other women who were subjected to the same fate.

Most of the stories I enjoy most as a reader are from the victim’s POV. I write a lot from the perpetrator’s because it’s easier for me, but the victim’s POV is very powerful when done well. Oh, and first person is always stronger, to me, if you can stomach being in the character’s head.
