Is there a break down in notification

I make this a public question, as others might want to way in with their thoughts.
As of recently my account no longer shows me if somebody has been reacting to my posts. So i thought my recent story shows some views but no response, my assumption was only bots have seen it.
On a whim I opened the post and learned that three lovely ladies had reacted favorably towards it. In the past this would have caused a notification to show up with my profile. It doesn’t, and apparently hasn’t been for a while.
Does anybody else experience this?

I’d noticed that too but haven’t been posting much, didn’t realize that it was actually an issue. I see you’ve “mentioned” Zip, he should be able to look into this.

And I have another question to add to this thread because I’m not sure where else to pose it:

Could we not have the “who’s online” feature here?

It has been a very useful feature for me on other sites, among them RC and RD, nice to see who is about and maybe gives an opportunity to make contact while they are here and now…. Of course you should have the option to ‘Hide’ at login if you so desire. What do you think ?

I’m asking because i also got a new notification today saying That new private discussion was begun, 5h ago and not 2 weeks ago when that really happened.

@ZipTiesThatBind I had in general the feeling the notifications I was getting were all referring to activities a good time in the past. Almost as if the notification queue works with a wrong internal date.

That’s encouraging. Hopefully that means it’s mostly caught up with the backlog.
