Does chat work for anyone using firefox?

Does chat work for anyone using firefox? It does not work for me, but works in chrome.

I get endless loading dots on firefox and eventually a disconnected error, do I want to reconnect.

I am not sure if I am the only firefox user on the forum, I don’t like running chrome as it is very likely on this potato to form a corpse in task manager that needs hard reboot to remove.

Also is the chat using some irc network as the back end or is it its very own thing?

Vela_Nanashi The chat is using BlabWX Pro, a PHP-based thing which is not terribly reliable, but it’s what people are used to, and options for self-hosted chat is limited. We have tried switching to IRC with a web UI, but most people here didn’t like it.

Can’t even find it on google 🙂 so zero chance of figuring out if it is known to not work with firefox or not.

To answer my own question, it runs on firefox, just not the one on my windows machine, no need to try to figure out why from your end, sorry about wasting time…

I use Firefox as well, and occasionally get the same error cropping up. Not sure why.

Yeah I have no clue why, but got it working on windows somehow, nothing that I did not already try but this time it worked, go figure.

I can confirm that Blab works on Firefox and Chromium on Linux.

and me now on windows, did exactly the same thing for the tenth time and suddenly it worked 🙂
