Shocker Yeah that was a movie that I felt had a solid premise but it kinda got away from itself with too many plot twists. One of the few films that actually would’ve benefitted from someone taking a hatchet to the script and making a tighter plot.

I’ve read the book as well as seen the movie. It makes a better novel than movie, for sure. The logic steps are spelled out a bit more clearly, which can’t always be made easy to follow in a visual medium.

I love the idea but unfortunately if I try and fantasise about things like this I get too caught up in the details.

Now a girl walking down a street in a big rainstorm, letting her guard down and deciding to accept a ride from the nice guy in the van who was just passing by, that is a fantasy I can work with.

Thick fog. A hand clamped over the mouth. The sounds of people passing close by, just outof reach, hidden by the thick, roiling green-grey clammy clouds. Struggling against the arms pinning you to the damp, dewy ground (in the wilds) or the hard stone wall (in an urban setting). The gloom and fog even making it hard to see his masked face as he forces himself upon you, plundering you and taking all he wants. And as soon as he’s finished, he’s gone, hidden by the same swirling fog that enabled him to sneak up and take you in the first place.

This definitely appeals to me in my fantasies. I walk a lot…night walks in the city to help ease my troubled mind before bed and daytime walks in various parks and nature trails to help calm me. The thought of a hand over my mouth and being pulled into a dark, barren stretch of land and thrown to the ground terrifies but thrills me. Or he could pull up beside me, try to sweet talk me into getting in his car. But he already knows I’ll decline. My tormentor would know my routine and where I normally walk. He would know me. He’s meticulous and cunning. Planning everything. Never hasty. And he has a plan for my resistance…a gun aimed at my face or getting out of his car and tackling me to the ground and choking me out. Once I’m in his hands, he has complete control of me. I’m at his mercy. And what better place to torment me, than out in the wilderness away from prying eyes….

Where there are trees to be tied to or (as a threat) to be hanged from, ditches to be left in, many thorny or stinging plants to torment nakedness and many curious or hungry animals from ants to foxes. That last bit depends a lot on the country, of course. Some have bears or wolves and some don’t. I think soldier ants would be the least welcome. Just a few bones and a pair of panties.

I remember in Uni, there was a big rainstorm but I still had to walk home. I didn’t have an umbrella, and with the clothes I was wearing, it felt like I was naked. 😊 i can only imagine what the guys who were staring were thinking.

kerijane i kept thinking why did I wear white clothing that day, because it turns nearly invisible when wet. I remembered my hair got so wet, it was clumped to my face, neck, and shoulders, but not long enough to help hide anything. I felt like everyone was watching me in the shower.

I liked “The General’s Daughter.” It’s not a great film but decent. The gang raped scene was exciting and seeing Leslie Stefanson staked out at the beginning of the film was, well, um, very interesting. I feel sorry for her because it was a gutsy role to take on and I’m sure she hoped it would send her career skyrocketing, which it did not.

Somehow I’ve come across the the following pics and have to say that well, they do intrigue me. To be staked out on a beach by my attacker(s), is, well, an erotic fantasy.

kerijane I’m not sure. Walking home it felt like many things. Scary, embarrassing, and humiliating. Once i safely got home, idk, i felt like it was daring, or sort of that high when you survive something dangerous.

I like the way humiliation makes me feel and I get off on risk. Exposure, vulnerability, fear excites me. I think I’d have been scared but thrilled out of my skull at the same time.

The humiliation aspect came through through very well in this story. I thought it was really well done.

One thing that I might suggest that I get this suggestion because I am blind and I have to listen to the stories. I have someone who types my stories for me whether or not I am dictating the story or I am using my brailler. But I always listen to my stories just like I listen to all the stories here. What that can do for you is allow the errors that you make with spelling or Google makes with spelling and inserting its own words scream out at you and say hey this is wrong!

There are a couple of articles missing as I’m listening along and a misplaced word or two. I only mentioned this to be helpful.

I love the story and it was very entertaining and I hope it did well in the competition.
