November/December Contest prompts

I trust everyone had a safe and enjoyable Halloween. Of vourse Halloween, means end of October and that means it’s time for new contest prompts. Our prompts this month are provided by @ZipTiesThatBind and his words are ‘snow’ ‘bleed’ and ‘lurk’. Our authors are going to have to fit them into 7000 words. Are we using the words themselves or incorporating the concepts? If the former, does a form of the word, i.e. “bleeding” or “bloody”, work?

Tinman so far it was themes, that needed to be incorporated. And any shedding of blood would be bleeding.

Yeah what @Shocker said. The concepts have to be clearly demonstrated but the words themselves don’t have to appear.

RapeU There is a 5% ‘grace room’. Provided the words are under that you are fine. For 7k, 5% is 350 words.

Hi everyone! I’ll get started on something for this contest. There are ten days left in November, so if I go 1 k words a day, that will leave me time to proof-read and anxiously improve, or worsen involuntarily, some scenes. If I don’t post this here, I won’t get started at all!

Thanks to ZipTiesThatBind for the theme words. The “Zip effect” nudged me into snuff and torture territory! It wasn’t planned at all, but that’s what my characters ended up doing due to the context they were in. For “bleed”, I took it that I had to use the verb. At any rate, it led me to learn about two great expressions to depict a sunset or a forest ablaze with autumn leaves. Good luck to all!

Big suspense night!

Thus far, I’m really thrilled to see how completely different our entries are from one another, in style of story and the way the themes are treated. Even story length varies greatly. This will be a very interesting contest. I hope to see at least one hurry-before-midnight entry! 🙂 I’m picturing Archon sitting at his computer while sipping coffee (or something else) and looking at the clock that says 23:59:59. Lol.

Been a while since I posted something, but the prompts gave me an idea, and I wanted to write a continuation of the Mindwalker Memoirs. There are some disturbing scenes, and this is more sci-fi story than porn. We finally get to see how powerful Megan truly is.
