carhamgrater Just tried to get on and only that weird page came up. Went to the browser and typed in Ravishment University and got a link to Amanda blonde’s topic and was able to log in to the main site from there! Just logged out and got the main page once more. Reset the link and i seem able to log in and out at will!

Vela_Nanashi As I wrote elsewhere, if you value something in particular there a lot, make a local copy of it, we are not out of the woods yet.
Vela_Nanashi if you visit the site itself it won’t work, the forum works if you visit the exact links that end with .php again we are not completely safely out of the woods yet, so exchange contacts etc too.
LtBroccoli If you had a tab or a previous page in your history, or a specific landing page, it’s working. The main page for both KB and RU was directing to a 403 error page saying that imgbb.com and it’s sister sites are banned going forward, so any post with them will have to use a different image host or get deleted.

Cryptology Vela_Nanashi As far as fiction goes, it might be best practice to also upload stories on AO3, which has essentially no rules regarding written content and has a robust legal department willing to go to bat to defend against censorship. You’ll miss out on the rich communities that come from forums like this but you’ll at least have some reassurance that you aren’t going to suddenly lose years of work due to an admin fuckup.
vile8r I’m back in! As far as stories go, anything that I post on RU, I have also kept backed up on an external hard drive. IF the site should ever disappear for good, I won’t lose all my stories.
Vela_Nanashi Yeah since the server is only half back, and the root directory does not lead to anything useful currently (I think some .htaccess files are deleted or not set up right anymore). So just bookmark the link that goes directly to the forum 🙂
LtBroccoli Front page of RU is still leading to a 403, but individual links still work. KB is completely down, giving a “This website has been suspended.” statement on the landing page. If there’s anything you wanted to save off of RU, back it up now.
